Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine Held the 2017 International Students Welcome Party and the National Day Reception

On Sept. 28th, International Students of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine had the 2017 International Students Welcome Party and the National Day Reception on campus. Professor Chen Hongzhuan, vice president of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, teachers from college of basic medical sciences, college of public health, affiliated hospital and other departments and international students joined the party together.

Professor Chen Hongzhuan delivered the welcoming speech at the represent of School of Medicine to the new international students from all over the world. He congratulated the awarded students and hoped all the international students study harder to become a qualified doctor in the future.

This September, there are 87 new international students from 26 countries come to study in our school, including 53 undergraduate students, 15 postgraduate students and 19 advanced students.

In the 23 awarded students, 2 of them award the Scholarship of Outstanding International Student in China from Ministry of Education, 8 of them award the International Students Scholarship from Shanghai Municipal Government, 5 of them award the Outstanding International Students Scholarship from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and 8 of them award the Outstanding International Students Scholarship from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.

Besides, Rui Jin Hospital, Ren Ji Hospital and Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital are certified as International Student Practice Base. 4 teachers who engage in the international student education for long time are awarded.
