Research Interests
The research in my laboratory focuses on the role of extracellular matrix (ECM), such as Cyr61/CCN1, in pathogensis and development of auto-inflammatory and autoimmune diseses. We study the protein and genes alteration in the diseases. Our studies have revealed that Cyr61/CCN1 deeply involved in the inflammation and tissue damage in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and Sjogren's syndrome by promoting tissue cells (such as synovial fibroblast-like cells, kerotinocyte) activation and proliferation, enhancing inflammatory cytokines production interation with immune cells.
