Personal Introduction
Dr. Ju Huang received her B.S. degree from Fudan University, School of Medicine in 2006 and her Ph.D. degree from Institute of Neuroscience, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. From 2011 to 2016, she got her postdoc training at Harvard Medical School and then Washington University in St. Louis in the USA. In 2016, Dr. Huang joined Shanghai Jiao Tong University, School of Medicine as the principal investigator and the head of the Laboratory of Innate Behavior and Emotion Regulation.
Research Interest
Our lab has long been committed to the research of neural-circuit-level and molecular-level mechanisms of innate behavior and emotion regulation, with a series of research achievements in the functional roles of disease-related proteins, epigenetic regulation, and neural circuitry in feeding regulation, thermoregulation, and repetitive behaviors. Our current research work focus on the relationship between innate behaviors and emotion regulation, especially the mechanism mediating the impact of repetitive behaviors on post-stress anxiety-regulation, and the intervention of repetitive behaviors that are associated with neuropsychiatric disorders. We aim to provide a new perspective and insight for our understanding of the neurobiological mechanisms in innate behavior and emotion regulation.
