Personal Introduction
Dr. Zhaojun Wang is a Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology in Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Zhiyuan Honors Teaching Faculty in Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Principle investigator in Shanghai Institute of Immunology.
Dr. Wang obtained her B.Med in Medical Laboratory Science and M.Sc in Microbiology at Shanghai Second Medical University. She received her Ph.D. degree in Immunology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2006. In 2008, Dr. Wang became a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Science, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and returned to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2012
Dr. Wang is an expert in the research of infectious diseases. She works in immune responses during infection. In particularly, she is interested in the regulation of innate immune responses and immunopathology mechanism of parasitic diseases. She has published more than 40 original research articles in peer-reviewed journals and more than 10 academic book chapters. She has been a principal investigator for 5 national research projects. Dr. Wang is editorial board members of Chinese Journal of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases and Journal of Tropical Medicine. She serves as the member of Medical Parasitology Committee, Chinese Preventive Medicine Association.
As a Principle Teacher and Course Leader, Dr. Wang is response for Foundation of Diseases, Medical Microbiology and Parasitology courses for undergraduate and graduate students.
As Vice Director for Faculty Development Department of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. She focuses on assisting faculty and postdoctoral researcher with their professional development.
