In recent days, the Sub-forum on Medical Technology under the 4th International Young Scholars Forum of SJTU School of Medicine, and the Summit Forum on Medical Technology Education were successfully held. Focusing on AI+ medicine and medical technology in the light of the meeting topic “For Precision Medicine, Technology Prevails”, this sub-forum invited top talents at home and abroad from diverse disciplines including medical laboratory, medical imaging, hearing and speech rehabilitation science, clinical nutriology, etc., to collide with academic sparks through “on the cloud side” meeting, for the purpose of promoting scholarly communication and scientific research cooperation. This forum was chaired by Hu Yiqun, vice dean of SJTU School of Medicine and dean of the College of Health Science and Technology, and the opening ceremony was presided over by Yuan Qing, party secretary of the College of Health Science and Technology, SJTU School of Medicine.
Conducted via on-line conference, this forum attracted 14 young scholars from USA, Great Britain and famous universities and research institutes at home and abroad to deliver topic report, while over 400 professionals from higher-learning institutions, scientific research institutes, and postgraduate, etc., domestic and abroad attended, to envisage a shared future. With “Precision Medicine” shed in light, the forum focused on particular technologies such as tumor immunity technology, nutritional therapy, smart imaging technology, and etc., in the whole medical processes of prevention, diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation, aiming at exerting the role of those top scientists as pioneer, to club their ideas for charting the course for future development of the medical technology. Receiving online audience of 1177 people/times, the forum helps promote effective cross-fusion of all departments and disciplines, and also affords an active and open platform and channel for dialogue and communication.
