On the evening of August 28, 2022, the College of Health Science and Technology held an online meeting for 2022 freshmen. Yuan Qing, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Wang Xuefeng, Vice Dean, Xu Qinyi, heads of departments of various specialties, all counselors, class tutors and 90 undergraduate freshmen attended the meeting, which was hosted by Ding Lei, Director of the Teaching Management Office.

First of all, the leaders of the College welcomed the new students and introduced the overall situation of the College.

Secretary Yuan Qing said that students will always be the most proud objects of the College, and the highlight moment of the College   requires the efforts of every student. New students should follow the footsteps of seniors and sisters, be down-to-earth, start with the end, and start again. The secretary put forward three expectations for everyone: first, learn from Shi Mingzhi, cherish family and country, and inherit hope. The unprecedented change in the new century will present more problems to us. I hope that students can cultivate their family and country feelings, draw on their spiritual strength, set up lofty ideals, take root in the people and contribute to the country. Second, we should put learning first and study first. It is hoped that students will cherish their youth, study hard, remember the medical oath of "health is everything, life is everything", "to eliminate human suffering, and to help improve health", shoulder the responsibility and mission of getting up as medical students, work hard and forge ahead bravely. Third, seek from top to bottom, integrate knowledge with practice and innovate. The College   provides students with a broad scientific research platform and many social practice opportunities. I hope students can think and act, ignite their thoughts and expand their possibilities. Teachers of the College   are always guidelines, dispellers and companions of students.

Vice President Xu Qinyi introduced the discipline introduction, the development history of the College, the status of the discipline, undergraduate teaching and postgraduate education, academic research platform and other aspects, pointing out that the disciplines of the School of Medical Technology meet the needs of national strategy and industry development, benchmark the high standards of domestic and foreign disciplines, and perform well in discipline support, professional source, professional employment and other aspects. In addition, Vice President Xu introduced the heads of departments and leaders of disciplines. I believe that under the leadership of teachers, students can find their own interests and get better development.

Later on, representatives of all departments and class tutors met with everyone one by one and made professional introductions.

Liu Xiangfan, the tutor of the medical laboratory technology class, introduced the development process of the medical laboratory technology specialty, and explained in detail the length of schooling, time allocation, teaching resources, training process, employment development, etc. of the laboratory class.

Lu Yeling, the tutor of the medical laboratory technology (French class) class, told about her personal experience and research direction, hoping to become a bridge between basic and clinical medicine in the future, to learn and grow together with her classmates.

Li Ruokun, the tutor of the medical imaging technology class, introduced the training objectives, core courses, training bases and employment prospects of the medical imaging discipline, hoping to spend four meaningful years together with students in the next four years.

Yang Kefeng, the representative of food hygiene and nutrition, introduced the development history, training process, teaching resources, undergraduate innovation ability training, international exchange activities and employment situation of the major of nutrition, "the cradle of China's nutritionist system". "Healthy China, nutrition first". I hope that students will achieve something in the future.

Xu Renying, the tutor of the food hygiene and nutrition professional class, warmly welcomes all students to join the nutrition family. Teacher Xu shared his learning experience and scientific research interest, and looked forward to working with the students on health and nutrition in the future.

Huang Zhiwu, the representative of the major of Listening and Speech Rehabilitation, elaborated on the historical particularity and development of the subject of listening, and introduced the current situation, employment direction and prospects of the subjects concerned by the students one by one.

Chen Ying, the tutor of the professional class of listening and speech rehabilitation, introduced her academic experience and main research directions, expecting interested students to join in the research project.
