人工智能正在成为新的电力,像100年前电力改变了世界,人工智能也正在给世界带来巨变。插上人工智能的翅膀,智慧医学即将革新医学研究的方方面面,加速医学研究的深度广度,取得革命性的突破。我们做了些初步的探索,在蛋白质折叠,精准医疗,疾病筛查及药物发现等方面取得了一些令人兴奋的结果。

李晓林 教授
李晓林博士目前是美国公立名校佛罗里达大学(公立排名前十)的终身正教授(Tenured Full
Professor)、校级教授(University Term
Professor),美国国家科学基金大学习研究中心全美中心主任。牵头打造NSF首个深度学习中心(NSF Center for Big
Learning),联合佛罗里达大学,卡内基梅陇大学,俄勒冈大学,密苏里大学的80多位知名教授,及30多家世界顶级人工智能公司。获得美国国家科学基金会杰出青年教授奖(NSF
CAREER Award),未来网络创新应用奖,NSF I-Corps最佳创业团队奖,CAGI
公开赛最佳团队DeepBipolar,四篇最佳论文奖,多项专利及授权。发表了五本书及100余篇论文。
主要研究方向:深度学习、云计算、大数据、精准医疗、物联网。
Dr. Xiaolin (Andy) Li is a Professor and University Term
Professor in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
(ECE) and Department of Computer & Information Science &
Engineering (CISE, affiliated) at University of Florida (UF). He is
the founding Director of National Science Foundation Center for Big
Learning (CBL), the first NSF center on deep learning, with UF
(lead), CMU, UO, and UMKC. He is also Director of Large-scale
Intelligent Systems Laboratory (Li Lab). His research interests
include Cloud Computing, Big Data, Deep Learning, Intelligent
Platforms, HPC, and Security & Privacy for Health, Precision
Medicine, CPS/IoT, Science, Engineering, and Business. He has
published over 100 peer-reviewed papers in journals and conference
proceedings, 5 books, and 4 patents (three licensees). His team has
created many software systems and tools. His research has been
sponsored by National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes
of Health (NIH), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and others.
He was a faculty member (with early promotion and tenure) in the
Computer Science Department at Oklahoma State University (OSU), a
visiting professor at Nokia Research Center Beijing (NRC), a
visiting scholar at University of Texas at Austin (UT), an Extreme
Blue intern at IBM, a graduate research assistant at Rutgers
University (RU), a research staff at Institute for Infocomm
Research (I2R), a research scholar at National University of
Singapore (NUS), and a research assistant at Zhejiang University
(ZJU). He received a PhD degree in Computer Engineering from
Rutgers University under the direction of Professor Manish
Parashar. He is a recipient of the National Science Foundation
CAREER Award in 2010, the Internet2 Innovative Application Award in
2013, NSF I-Corps Top Team Award (1 out of 24 teams, including
Berkley, Harvard, and MIT) in 2015, Top Team (DeepBipolar) in the
CAGI Challenge on detecting bipolar disorder in 2016, and best
paper awards (IEEE ICMLA 2016, IEEE SECON 2016, ACM CAC 2013, and
IEEE UbiSafe.
