Research Interests
Dr. Liang’s research focuses on virus-host interaction, with specially emphasis in emerging viruses and tumor viruses. Currently, his lab is working on Zika virus, SARS-CoV-2, and Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated virus. By systematically identifying the host targets, his lab characterized several essential virulent factors and the underlying mechanisms of viral immune evasion and pathogenesis.
