The Brain Organoid Research Facility, a subsidiary of the Songjiang Research Institute, specializes in offering technical support services for brain research. Among these services are the construction of induced pluripotent stem cell lines for patients with brain diseases, modeling of brain disease organoids, creation of gene knockout brain organoids, and their subsequent functional analysis.
Currently, the facility boasts a 10,000 standard clean room and houses equipment including a biosafety cabinet, a honeycomb cell culture box known as the "cell locker", an inverted fluorescence microscope, and a nuclear transfection apparatus. These are essential for conventional intracellular experimental procedures. With a comprehensive suite of equipment tailored for organoid culture, functional analysis, and detection, the facility is well-prepared. Moreover, the facility's staff possesses specialized expertise in preparing various brain region organoids and gene knockout brain organoids.
The primary goal of the Brain Organoid Research Facility is to deliver top-tier technical support services. These services are pivotal for basic research in brain diseases, the evaluation of drug safety, the development of new drugs, precise personalized medicine, and research into nerve tissue and organ regeneration.
