Introduction to Songjiang Research Institute

In order to closely align with national and local strategic needs, and Shanghai Songjiang District People's Government jointly established the Songjiang Research Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University Hospital (hereinafter referred to as the "Research Institute") in July 2022. Led by Academician Duan Shumin, an expert in brain science, the Institute makes comprehensive use of the superior resources of the university and the government to build a strong platform for the transformation of brain science and its interdisciplinary research, create a good atmosphere for scientific research, and recruit high-level talents at home and abroad under favorable conditions. The Institute will focus on the national brain science program, link the high-quality resources of the G60 Science and Innovation Corridor bio-medicine and brain-intelligence science and innovation industrial cluster, focus on the "three brains" (mental brain, degenerative brain, developmental brain), combine the emerging brain crossover directions of neuroimmunity, neurometabolism and neurotumor, and build a "basic - clinical - industrial" full chain scientific research platform related to brain science and brain crossover. It is committed to generating the output of major innovative, original and subversive basic research results, achieving major breakthroughs in key technologies of original innovation, cultivating a group of professionals in basic brain science research and industry-university research with innovative thinking and international influence, and supporting the construction of "Healthy Shanghai" and G60 science and technology innovation Center with global influence. It has become the source of brain science research and development in China and a national science and innovation center.

Introduction to Department of Anatomy and Physiology, Jiaotong University

The Department of Anatomy and Physiology of the School of Basic Medicine of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was established in July 2017, with Professor Xu Tianle, Special Professor of Changjiang Scholars of the Ministry of Education, as the department head and discipline leader. At present, the department has a total of 63 staff members and postdocs, including 49 with doctoral degrees and 24 with senior titles; Among them, the National high-level Talent Plan 5 people, the National high-level talent Plan youth project 3 people.
