Biography
Dr. Lingyan Zheng obtained the PhD. and M.D. degree in 2007 and specialized in salivary gland non-neoplastic disorders, alveolar surgery, and severe oral and maxillofacial infection. Clinically, Dr. Zheng has extensive experience in diagnosing and treatment of non-tumor illnesses of the salivary glands in children and adults, including mumps, sialolithiasis, and Sjogren's syndrome. Also, Dr. Zheng is good at the extraction of impacted teeth and embedded supernumerary teeth, as well as the implant repair of tooth loss caused by various reasons.
The research interests of Dr. Zheng are the pathogenesis of salivary gland diseases and their relationship with abnormal immune response. For now, Dr. Zheng has undertaken over 4 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) (Grant No.81671004, 81771089, 81671004, 81100766) and 2 municipal projects. She also participated in 4 municipal projects and presided over and participated in more than 10 other projects. Dr. Zheng published 54 publications in local and international journals as the first author and corresponding author, among these, more than 25 resesarch and review articles have been published in the journals recorded by Science Citation Index (SCI), including the Journal of Autoimmunity, Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, Phytomedicine, Oral Diseases.
Since 2005, Dr. Zheng has been committed to the teaching of Stomatology, including salivary gland diseases and oral and maxillofacial infections. She has supervised seven postgraduate students and four doctoral students thus far, earning her the label of good instructor.
