Biography
Dr. Ming Yan, Associate Professor of Department of Oral and Maxillofacial-Head & Neck Oncology, Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, College of Stomatology, National Center for Stomatology, National Clinical Research Center for Oral Diseases, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. She earned her MD degrees on stomatology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, then served as a visiting scholar during 2018-2019 at Northwestern University Feinbery School of Medicine, and has devoted into the fundamental research of the Tregs associated immune tolerance and targeted drug development of cancers. She is the member of Chinese Stomatological Association and Precision Medicine Society of National Association of Health Industry and Enterprise Management.
Her research mainly focuses on the molecular mechanisms of oral cancer metastasis and tumor environment regulation. She particularly interested in immunoinhibitory functions of extracellular vehicles and Tregs in regulating immune tolerance and tumor escape, which is beneficial in anti-tumor immunity and targeted therapy. Dr. Ming Yan has presided over 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects, including (1) Oral squamous cell carcinoma talk to microenviroment through NF-κB and hedgehog signal pathways to promote distant metastasis Grand No. 81102050; (2) Periostin mediated lymph node pre-metastatic niche construction induce cancer stem cell metastasis in oral squamous cell carcinoma, Grand No. 81672829; (3) Oral squamous cell carcinoma derived exosomal USP7 facilitates lymph node pre-metastatic niche formation via ubiquitination reprogramming regulatory T cells, Grand No. 82173217. She has published more than 10 papers as first or corresponding author on Journal of Extracellular Vesicles, Cell Death & Disease, Molecular & Cellular Proteomics, et al. As an editor, she edited 3 textbooks, including the textbooks "Oral Clinical Immunology" and "Experimental Technique of Oral Clinical Immunology" published by People's Health Publishing House and the textbook "Fundamentals of oral biomedicine" published by Science Press, and won the honor title of outstanding young backbone of academic of Ninth People’s Hospital and Excellent young teachers of College of Stomatology. She also won the first prize of Technology Advance Award of Shanghai City (fifth accomplisher) and other 5 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards.
