Biography
Dr. Lei Wang is Associate Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine; College of Stomatology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Associate Chief Surgeon and Supervisor for Master’s degree postgraduates in Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital. Dr. Lei Wang received his MD and PhD degree of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2007. He is expertise in surgical ablation and microsurgical reconstruction of head and neck tumors. His research focuses on clinical trials in innervation of jaw-bone reconstruction and mechanisms of the interplay between stem cells and their neural/immune microenvironment in bone grafts and tissue regeneration. He has authored over 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals including Cell, Nat Med, Lancet Oncol, Cell Death Differ, Theranostics (cover), Stem Cells, J Dent Res, Plast Reconstr Surg (cover), Annals Emerg Med, etc., of which 42 were published as corresponding or first authors. He is the PI of 4 grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China and has been awarded as Shanghai Talent Introduction and Development Programs. Dr. Lei Wang has authored 6 books as editor-in-chief or editor. He serves as Managing Editor for Front Oral Maxillofac Med (the Official Publication of the Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital), Editorial Board Member for 4 international journals, as well as an International Reviewer for 6 peer-reviewed journals. He serves as Committee Member of Chinese Research Hospital Association, Council Member of Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetics, Young Committee Member of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, Fellow of World Federation of Orthodontists, and Grant Reviewer of National Natural Science Foundation of China. He is currently a tutor for training programs of National Standardized Training Program for Specialists of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and AOCMF Fellowship at Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital.
