Biography

Dr. Yuhua Wang, associate chief physician ofDepartment of Prosthodontics, ShanghaiNinth People’sHospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. She focuses on oral infection and immunity in the context of systemic metabolic diseases. Periodontal infection is a risk factor for many systemic diseases such as osteoporosis and NAFLD. However, the influence mechanism of local infection on systemic diseases has not been fully elucidated, which hinders clinical diagnosis and treatment. Aiming at this problem, with the support of theNationalNaturalScienceFoundation of China, Shanghai municipal fund continued funding, she put forward and developed the endogenous immune regulation and exogenous polysaccharide "targeted block" in the treatment of these diseases.
