Spanning 20 instructional hours over five weeks, the program comprises academic lectures, group discussions, and oral presentations, with full support from the Cambridge University Shanghai Centre. By integrating advanced global higher education philosophies and best practices, and by leveraging world-class educational resources, the programoffers a platform for scholars and students to engage with faculty and peers from top-tier institutions.

In 2016, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Nursing and the University of Western Australia launched a 3.5+2 combined bachelor's and master's program, which allows students to study at both institutions and benefit from mutual credit recognition. After completing 3.5 years of undergraduate nursing education in China, students are eligible to enroll in a 2-year master's program at the University of Western Australia School of Public Health. Students of this program graduate with both a Bachelor of Nursing and a Master of Public Health.

In 2017, the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Nursing partnered with the University of Newcastle to launch a Sino-Australian dual bachelor's degree program with a 1.5+2+0.5 structure.Thiscolloborationallows students to study at both institutions, with mutual credit recognition in place, and enables graduates to obtain bachelor's degrees from both universities. As an accelerated program, it shortens the duration of education at both ends and offers students an opportunity to gain insightsinto the distinct healthcare systems and nursing expertise of both countries.
