Research   interest

Infection   and Host Immunity, Molecular Surveillance

My   primary   research interest focuses in the use of   immunologic, genetic, and high-throughput tools for the control and   prevention of malaria in advancing:

Understanding of humoral immune   responses to malaria antigens for correlates of clinical immunity.

Knowledge on pathogen-host   interactions and the roles protein expression plays in malaria severity.

Proteogenomic research to   understand structural variations of malaria blood-stage molecules in   functional complexes.

My   research interests also expand to molecular surveillance of relapsing fever Borrelia,   and other tick-borne diseases.

Projects

I have been participant/member of   research group awarded for the following projects:

Jan. 2012 To Dec. 2015: ‘Pathogenicity of Leptospira to different   hosts and cells and molecular mechanism of its

dissemination and excretion’, Grant   No. 81171534, National Natural   Science Foundation of China.

Jan. 2017 To   Dec. 2019: ‘Dynamic distribution of important tropical disease related   invasive vectors and their

pathogens and construction of resource   base’, Grant No. 2016YFC1202000 and 2016YFC1202003,   National Key

Research   and Development Program of China.
