Party and Government Training
Faced with the great changes unseen in a century, the curriculum of training for party and government cadres is designed on in-depth emancipation of the mind, grasp of current affairs, pioneering and innovation, and the improvement of governance ability. Hospital Management
With the purpose of establishing a standardized, systematic and professional hospital management training, the training comprehensively interprets national policies and guidelines in comprehensive health. It aims to enhance the management ability and medical skills of hospital managers and medical service personnel, improve effectively the individual professional ability and teamwork spirit of medical and nursing personnel, and cultivate the comprehensive quality of hospital managers in finding, analyzing and solving problems.
Medical Scientific Research
Learning medicine without research is shallow, while research without learning medicine is hollow. Research ability is an important parameter in measuring the professionalism of a physician or medical teacher. The college gives full play to the advantages of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in scientific research, and gathers a group of high-quality teachers in SCI paper elements and writing framework, paper selection, data analysis, innovative refinement, journal selection, topic design, scientific research tools selection and research model selection. With practical analysis and exercises as the main teaching mode, the college has created a series of high-level scientific research ability improvement training courses system in all aspects and from multiple angles.
Faculty Development
The college actively builds an excellent training mode for medical teachers, constructs a systematic, refined and unique teacher training curriculum, striving to improve the effectiveness of training and help improve the teaching ability of "dual teacher-style" medical teachers. Each training project is led by individual trainees or groups, and takes diverse teaching methods, such as "layered" training based on the level of trainees, "skill-based" training to clarify teaching methods, "thematic" training based on the needs of the work, "diagnostic" training to identify teaching shortcomings, "experiential" training for hands-on participation, and "menu" training for a wide range of categories to solve properly daily teaching dilemmas, improve teaching ability, and promote the overall level of the faculty.
Health Supervision and Enforcement Training
The College has made full use of the opportunity of drafting the National Health Supervisor Training Plan 2020-2024, building the Shanghai Health Supervisor Practice Base and VR Simulation Training Base to develop a number of training courses in the field of health supervision. By doing so, it strives to provide learning services for health supervision practitioners in Shanghai while making due contribution to the improvement of the comprehensive professional ability of health supervision practitioners in the Yangtze River Delta and even the whole China. At present, the College has held pre-service training for new health supervisors in Shanghai for three consecutive years, and started the rotation training of all serving health supervisors in Shanghai and the training of provincial chief health supervisors from 2021. At the same time, with the high-quality training, other provinces and cities are attracted to carry out their supervision line training in the college, like the Yunnan Provincial Healthcare Commission, Nantong Healthcare Commission of Jiangsu Province.
Professional Training for Medical Health Practitioners
Medical health industry plays an important role in disease prevention, diagnosis and testing, treatment and medication, care and rehabilitation. However, contradiction still exists between the public's urgent need for the medical industry and the shortage of specialized talents, and there is a lack of authoritative and standardized job training system within the industry. With the strategic mission of promoting the specialization and professionalization of health services, the college takes the ability cultivation as its educational orientation, attaches importance to the acquisition of vocational skills, promotes the cultivation of composite health practitioners and builds the soft power of contemporary medicine and health industry through the win-win, co-construction and co-education modes of "college + enterprise", "college + industry" and "college + community".
Public Dietitian and Registered Dietitian Training
With the improvement of China's economic living standard, there is a shortage of talents who can provide nutrition consultation and guidance for healthy and sub-healthy people, as well as provide professional nutrition education and other services for enterprise employees, managers, athletes and families, therefore, public nutritionist and registered dietitian have a promising future career. Fitting closely the needs of the society, the college, with reliance on the consortium of theoretical course base and practical teaching base of registered dietitian of China Nutrition Society, integrates the advantageous teaching resources of the Department of Nutrition of Medical College, School of Public Health and Clinical Nutrition Department of affiliated hospitals, thus launching the training project of public dietitian vocational skill level assessment and registered dietitian. The training of registered dietitians is a "whole process training chain"--from the remedial credits before the examination to the continuing education after obtaining the certificate. Since 2021, there have been 285 public dietitians, reaching a passing rate of 75%, achieving a good reputation in the society and continuing to provide the society with professional nutrition and health talents.
Psychological Counseling Training
The college is deeply engaged in physical and mental health education, and is committed to the work related to mental health training of the whole life cycle. It has formed several education sections such as "maternal physical and mental health", "parent class", "employee physical and mental health service (EAP service)", "psychological professional skills training" and "customized training for enterprises". The College, by working closely with medical psychology, nutrition and psychiatry experts from tertiary hospitals and using the "online + offline" training mode, has trained many mental health professionals. At the same time, the college builds a closed loop of "learning-application-improvement", and in the development of customized courses, it conducts in-depth discussions with the demand side, identifies the needs and designs precisely, striving to found a more appropriate, practical and professional physical and mental health education system.
