Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine began to admit international students in 1967 and established inter-collegiate relations with over 60 schools from 19 countries in the world. It trains students to be top-notch medical professionals and promotes the school development in all aspects. The International Students Office is responsible for admission and administration for international students under the leadership of the school authorities.
Degree programs for undergraduate and postgraduate studies are opening for international students. Please note all the programs are taught in Chinese, so language proficiency in Chinese is required when applying for the programs.

Stomatology (five-year)
The program is China’s double first-class discipline and falls within the plan of training remarkable doctors by the Ministry of Education (MoE). Graduates will be awarded Practicing Certificate of Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner, certificate of standardized training for resident doctors, graduation certificate of stomatology masters, and master degree certificate of stomatology. Graduates mainly engage in medicine, teaching and research of stomatology in general hospitals and stomatological hospitals, some choose to continue for a higher degree.
Clinical Medicine (five-year)
The program is China’s double first-class discipline and falls within the plan of training remarkable doctors by the Ministry of Education (MoE). In the MoE Ranking among Colleges and Universities in terms of Degree and Discipline Evaluation 2017, the program ranks A+. Students will obtain an all-around development with profound humanistic and social science knowledge, and develop strong abilities of clinical analysis, clinical thinking, clinical diagnosis and treatment
