The Shanghai Key Laboratory of Tumor Microenvironment and Inflammation was established in 2011 and developed based on the School of Basic Medicine of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University school of medicine.
Key lab set up 16 individual groups and a public platform for molecular cell biology. Among the members of the laboratory, there are 1 Changjiang Scholar, 3 winners of the Outstanding Youth Fund, 2 winners of the Youth Thousand Talents Program and 2 winners of the Outstanding Youth Fund. Our member won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the first prize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award.
Key lab received more than 100 grants from Ministry of Science and Technology, National Natural Science Foundation, Ministry of Education, Shanghai Science and Technology Committee. Until now, Key lab has published more than 120 articles in scientific journals, including Nature Chemical Biology,Nature Communication,Cell Reports,Blood,Cancer Research,Nucleic Acids Research, Cell Research.
The research interests of LRB including three directions:
1. The role and molecular basis of tumor microenvironment in tumor genesis and development.
2. The role and molecular regulatory network of inflammation in tumorigenesis and development.
3. Intervention strategies and molecular basis of tumor microenvironment and inflammation.
Tumor microenvironment and inflammation is not only an ancient topic, but also a vigorous hot topic in the current cancer research field. We believe that under the guidance of experts and through the efforts of our members, there will be a series of achievements with international influence, and a series of achievements focusing on the new mechanism of tumorigenesis and development can be used as the content of translational medicine research.
