The Key Laboratory of Cell Differentiation and Apoptosis of the Ministry of Education, established in 2005, has always focused on the key scientific question of "cell fate determination", especially leukemia cells, solid tumor cells and immune cells, and conducted in-depth research at different levels, including molecular, cellular, animal and clinical levels, to reveal the pathophysiological mechanism and therapeutic basis of related diseases.
The Key Laboratory of Cell Differentiation and Apoptosis of the Ministry of Education now has 42 scientists from several research groups, more than 85% have doctoral degrees and overseas work experience, 19 full investigators and 12 associate investigators among them. The Key Laboratory of Cell Differentiation and Apoptosis of the Ministry of Education also mentors postdoctoral research fellows, graduate students and undergraduates in great efforts.
The laboratory will continue to focus on liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, brain cancer and leukemia. The research will focus on the core scientific topic of "the dynamic regulation of tumor fate" and carry out the following five fields: (1) life and death decision of tumor; (2) fate control of tumor stem cells; (3) the influence of tumor immunity and metabolism on tumor fate; (4) the influence of tumor transcription, protein modification and organelle interactions on tumor fate; (5) tumor fate drug targeting and translational applications. We will try to analyze tumor fate from multiple levels and aim to analyze the dynamic changes of tumors at different stages of development, metastasis and death, and reveal the influence of tumor microenvironment and tumor immune response on tumor fate. We will develop potential intervention targets and compounds for early and precise tumor treatment. The laboratory will strive to enhance the competitiveness of oncology research and provide a model of oncology precision medicine for the world.
The laboratory welcomes scholars from all over the world to join us , continues to gather high-level academic teams, establishes advanced experimental research platforms, targets international frontiers and national needs, conducts research with tumor cell fate determination as the core, and achieves a number of original scientific research with international leading role.
