Prof. Chen is focused on molecular and systems biological studies of hematological diseases. Following the concepts of systems and integration and by developing the new generation techniques of genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics as well as big data platform for bioinformatics, he has launched Leukemia Genomics Anatomy Project (LGAP) and Leukemia Integrative Chemical Genomics Project (LICG). Focused on the genomic study of leukemia, he tries to give a panoramic view of the molecular mechanisms of development and targeted treatment of leukemia by unraveling systematic leukemogenesis, key signal pathways and regulatory nodes, molecular regulatory networks, and to reveal the rules in the occurrence, development and outcome of leukemia. He also aims to detect a group of new molecular markers and drug targets, and to develop several novel drugs or combination of drugs for targeted therapy. In the meantime, he will strive to explore the theoretical and practical systems of precise medicine of leukemia, and develop a strategic system for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and control of leukemia.
