Leshan Xiu is an assistant professor in the School of Global Health, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He received an MD degree from Peking Union Medical College, Tsinghua University in 2021. Dr. Xiu's research overall aim is to improve diagnostics, clinical and public health strategies to aid in the control of infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance. Currently, his research program bridges infectious diseases and clinical microbiology, with projects focused on the development and evaluation of novel diagnostic tests for infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance. He has published over 25 research articles, including Clinical infectious diseases, One Health, Journal of Molecular Diagnostics, Journal of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, and Microbial Biotechnology.
