Research interest: Infection and Immunity
Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology in Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Principle Investigator in Shanghai Institute of Immunology. Awarded with Zhiyuan Honors Teaching Faculty of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Served as the vice dean of School of Global Health, Chinese Center for Tropical Diseases Research, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.
Research Interests
Innate host immunity is the first line of defense against pathogen infection, playing a critical role in host resistance to pathogenic microorganisms. Prof Wang’s lab focuses on how leukocytes adapt to infectious or inflammatory environments and regulate their functions in response to diverse pathogens, such as protozoa and helminths.
