In the hot July, the Songjiang Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) held the "2023 National Summer Camp for Outstanding College students", and outstanding college students from all over the country who are interested in the field of neuroscience came to the camp to learn and exchange in the institute. This summer camp will broaden the academic horizon of the campers by means of lectures by famous teachers, subject introduction, subject exchange and discussion, and research platform visit and study, and examine the ideological and political quality, professional basic knowledge and comprehensive ability of the students through comprehensive examinations.

On the morning of July 17, the opening ceremony of the Summer camp was officially held. The opening ceremony was presided over by researcher Li Yadong. First of all, Academician Duan Shumin, president of the Institute, delivered a speech for the opening ceremony of the summer camp, expressing congratulations to the students who were selected to the summer camp, and hoping that everyone could have a fuller understanding and understanding of our college through this activity, and feel the strong academic atmosphere of our college. Then, Professor Xu Tianle, executive director of the Institute, made a detailed introduction to the development history, faculty strength, discipline construction, scientific research strength, personnel training and other aspects of the Institute. In order to let the campers know more about the Institute, Mr. Qiu Zilong, the leader of the project, and fellow researchers introduced and shared the research fields, research information and academic frontier trends of each research group with the campers.

On the afternoon of July 17, under the leadership of the teachers of the Institute, the campers went to the research platform of the institute to visit and study, and had in-depth exchanges with the teachers. The teachers shared the fun of scientific research in neuroscience, and the campers actively asked questions and interacted with each other. The atmosphere was warm. Then, the campers' basic professional knowledge was examined through the written test. Under the sunset and the gentle breeze, the teachers led the campers to Thames Town, a European-style tourist resort, for sightseeing.

On July 18, the Institute organized a number of experts to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the ideological and political, English level, professional comprehensive knowledge and ability and scientific research level of the campers. The teachers appreciated the knowledge and style of the contemporary youth, and sighed that "the Yangtze River is pushing forward the waves", and believed that the future is promising!

On the morning of July 19, the summer breeze was crisp and cicadas were chirping. The students gathered together in the longing and expectation of Songjiang Research Institute and future scientific research life, and ushered in the end of the summer camp in the collision of academic and youth.
